View SMTP Accounts

The page lets you view all available SMTP accounts along with the ability to perform more than a few important tasks by using quick action buttons. If you have gone through from the other “View” pages of the MUMARA, like “View Email Campaigns” “View Subscriber Lists” or any other view page, you might have readily be accustomed with the pattern of the view pages. All the user accounts other than the admin user account will only be able to setup and view SMTP accounts, if their user group allows them to do so.

Serial number is the first column to start the view table with. Serial number view SMTP table shows the records in ascending order (1-10). However, more than 10 records can be viewed on that very table, by selecting more records to view on the page. Read records per page after this table finishes. 


During the discussion of setting up SMTP account, SMTP groups are discussed as well. The group column shows the name of the group which the SMTP accounts was added in. 


Name of the “SMTP Account”. Although this name has nothing to do with the connection that establishes with the SMTP port and Host, still due to its importance in identifying the account, sorting and searching the records, it is the first mandatory field in the process of setting up SMTP account.


From “Host” it means the host name information which you have provided while setting up the particular SMTP account. The host doesn’t have any fix pattern; it can be the IP address, domain, or localhost etc. Mostly it follows the general structure that looks something like (Prefix with domain name)


The username field isn’t mandatory. Therefore the column may remain empty in some of the cases, when no username is provided in the username field. It however contains the username of the SMTP.


This shows the activity status of SMTP accounts, the SMTP account marked as “Inactive” are not actually available to send campaigns anymore, email campaigns are sent from the accounts having activity status as “Active”.


MUMARA checks IP reputation against all major blacklists. If the IP is listed in some blacklist/blocklist, the status for the particular SMTP account appears as “Listed”. In case of multiple IPs, make sure you have provided all the IPs in the box for “IP Pool For MTA” in order to check them against the blacklist status.

Even if a single IP is listed among the pool of IPs you have, the status for such SMTP account will appear as “Listed”. If IP(s) are clean, application will show “None” listed status for such SMTP account.

Last Checking Date

The column refers to the date when did the last time, IPs were checked against the blacklists.


Copy, Edit and Delete, the SMTP accounts from the table by pressing the  buttons for each action as below.

Click the button to create a copy of the particular SMTP account. The account using the copied details will start appearing below in the table, to keep the name of the SMTP account unique, application automatically adds a number with the copied account. The copied account of the name “SMTP” may say “SMTP 1”.


Clicking on the edit button will directly lead you to the page where you will be able to set the modified information for the available SMTP accounts. 


Click the cross to delete selected SMTP account from the list, you will be asked to first confirm, if you really want to delete the SMTP account. Answering the prompt message in yes will result in deletion of that account from the list.

Remaining structure of the “View SMTP Accounts” page will follow design and model of all the “View” pages in MUMARA. However, following we are discussing it again.

a)      Number of records per page:

To select the number of records you want to view per page, the page puts a dropdown menu on view towards the top of the page. The dropdown menu starts from 10 records to display, and ends with all records on one page. The following figure indicates the position of the dropdown on the page.

b)      Copy or Print SMTP Accounts Table 

Use the copying options to copy the data in the columns of the table appears below. You can copy the table by using the “Copy” button and can paste it manually in a file, or can copy and save the complete table along with the columns to .CSV file, Excel or PDF format. Further you can get a print out of the complete table by clicking “Print”. See the following figure.

c)       Search SMTP Account

By typing identifiable information such as SMTP name, you can search particular SMTP account from the list. The search box helps to search available “Groups", active or inactive SMTPs by providing the activity status (Active, Inactive) in the search box.

As soon as you start writing in the search box, the system starts processing and sorting the results as per the search query and without refreshing the page. Like in the following image, application has searched the record in the table relevant to the search query in the search box.
