Activity Logs

Activity Logs is a record of the changes made in your Mumara ONE account: what was created, changed or deleted, and when. Use it to find out what changed before something started behaving differently, or to check when a list, campaign or trigger was last edited.

Go to Tools → Logs → Activity Logs.

The Activity Logs page​

The newest entries are at the top. The page shows your most recent 500 entries.

ColumnWhat it shows
IDThe entry's position in the list: 1 is the newest. It isn't a permanent number, so it changes as new entries are added.
NameThe name on your account. Changes Mumara ONE makes on your behalf, such as pausing a campaign at a sending limit, carry your name too.
ActivityThe kind of change, usually Created, Updated or Deleted. A few entries, such as contact imports, show their own label, and some show none.
DescriptionWhat happened, with the item's name as a link.
Created onWhen it happened, in your time zone and date format.

Above the table:

  • Show entries sets how many rows appear per page: 10, 50, 100 or 500.
  • Search filters the rows as you type. It matches any word in the name, activity or description, so you can search for a list name, a broadcast name or a word such as deleted.
Dates follow your locale

Created on uses the time zone and date format you chose under My Profile → Locale. If times look off by a few hours, check your time zone there. See My Profile.

Reading a description​

Descriptions follow the same pattern: the kind of item, its name, and what happened to it. For example:

The item's name is a link. Click it to open the item in a new tab. If the item has since been deleted, the link no longer opens anything, but the entry keeps the name so you still know what was removed.

What's recorded​

Changes to these items are recorded:

  • Lists and contacts: contact lists, individual contacts, imports and list exports
  • Custom fields and segments, including segment exports
  • Campaigns: broadcasts, drip groups and drips, split tests, spintax and dynamic content tags
  • Sending: campaigns being scheduled, started, paused and resumed, including campaigns Mumara ONE paused automatically, for example at a sending limit
  • Triggers
  • Suppression: entries added to your suppression lists, and suppression list exports
  • Web forms
  • Sending domains

Viewing pages isn't recorded, and neither are sign-ins and sign-outs. To see where your account is signed in right now, open Security in the user menu. See Security.

Using Activity Logs​

Find what changed before a problem​

  1. Note roughly when the problem started, for example when a broadcast's results dropped.
  2. Open Tools → Logs → Activity Logs. The newest entries are at the top.
  3. Search for the item involved, such as the broadcast, list or segment name.
  4. Look for entries just before the problem started: an edited segment, a deleted custom field or a paused campaign.

Check an import​

After an import finishes, its entry shows how many contacts were added and to which list. Search for the list name to see every import into it.

See the latest changes at a glance​

The dashboard's Recent Activities card shows your latest entries. Click See All there to open this page. See Dashboard.

Reading the log from your own systems

Integrations can read the activity log through the REST API, using an API key with the Logs permission. See API Keys.

Troubleshooting​

I can't find an entry​

  • Search with different words. Try the list or broadcast name, or a word from the action, such as imported or deleted.
  • Show more rows. Set Show entries to 500.
  • It may be older than the page shows. The page lists your most recent 500 entries only.
  • It may not be recorded. Viewing pages, sign-ins and sign-outs aren't listed here.

The item has been deleted since the entry was written. The entry stays as a record of what happened.
