AI Tiers
Mumara AI has three tiers for different needs. Each one balances speed, quality and the AI credits it uses differently, so you can choose the right one for each task.
Tier comparison
| Mumara AI Fast | Mumara AI | Mumara AI Advanced | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed | Fastest | Fast | Slower |
| Quality | Good | Very good | Excellent |
| AI credits | Fewest | Moderate | Most |
| Reads web pages you link to | No | No | Yes |
| Best for | Quick drafts and small tasks | Most emails | Important campaigns and complex layouts |
Credit costs for each tier are listed on Mumara ONE pricing.
When to use each tier
Mumara AI Fast
The quickest tier, using the fewest credits. Choose it when speed matters more than polish.
Good for:
- brainstorming ideas and layouts
- subject line suggestions
- quick edits and small changes
- plain-text emails
- trying several approaches quickly
- simple, single-section emails
Trade-offs: the results are good, but complex layouts may need more follow-up messages, and multi-section emails can take a few rounds to get right.
Mumara AI: the default
The recommended tier for most work, and the one selected when you start. It gives strong results for a moderate number of credits.
Good for:
- newsletters
- promotional and marketing emails
- welcome emails
- event invitations
- product update announcements
- most everyday email
Why it's the default: it reliably produces well-structured, responsive HTML email on the first attempt, and handles multi-section layouts, colour themes and design requests accurately, without the extra credits of Advanced.
Mumara AI Advanced
The highest-quality tier. Use it when the result has to be excellent first time, or when the layout is unusually complex.
Good for:
- important campaigns, such as product launches, investor updates and annual reports
- complex multi-section layouts with precise design requirements
- premium brand communications
- emails that must hold up across many email clients
- getting the best result with the fewest rounds of changes
- designing from a web page: paste up to three links to public web pages, such as your product page, and it reads them to match your brand, products and prices, and can reuse their images
Trade-offs: it takes longer to reply and uses the most credits. For routine emails, the difference from Mumara AI may not be worth the extra credits.
Choose a tier
- AI Email Builder: use the tier drop-down in the top bar. See Using the AI Builder.
- AI Assistant in the Drag & Drop builder: use the tier drop-down in the panel header. See AI Assistant in the Builder.
Choose the tier before you send a message. You can change it between messages in the same conversation, for example to draft on Mumara AI Fast and finish on Mumara AI Advanced. When you reopen a conversation from History, the drop-down switches back to the tier that conversation last used, and the history list shows each conversation's tier.
The drop-down lists the tiers available to your account.
Tools with a set tier
Some tools always use the same tier, whatever you choose in the drop-down:
| Tool | Tier |
|---|---|
| Generate with AI for a subject line, a pre-header or a text body, and the AI Assistant's Generate Subject, Generate Preheader and Plain Text Version | Mumara AI Fast |
| Inspect with AI in the broadcast editor, and the AI Assistant's Inspect Email | Mumara AI Advanced |
Save credits
- Start with Fast for ideas. Explore layouts and styles on Mumara AI Fast. Once you've chosen a direction, switch to Mumara AI or Mumara AI Advanced for the final version.
- Be specific in your first prompt. A detailed first message often produces a usable email in one or two replies, whatever the tier. Vague prompts need more follow-ups and use more credits overall.
- Start a new conversation for each new email. Every message sends the conversation so far, so long conversations cost more per message.
- Use Mumara AI for most work. It handles the great majority of emails well. Keep Mumara AI Advanced for campaigns where the extra quality is worth it.
- Ask for changes, not rewrites. "Make the button green" uses far fewer credits than "create a completely new email".
