Funds
Funds are a prepaid balance in US dollars that you keep in your Mumara ONE account. You add funds with a card, then convert them into:
- Email credits, so you can keep sending when you run short of your plan's allowance. On Essential, sending pauses when your allowance runs out, so converting funds is how you keep going before it refills.
- Tokens for Mumara AI.
Conversion rates depend on your plan. See Mumara ONE pricing.
Open Manage Funds
You can open the page two ways. Both lead to the same page, Manage Funds:
- Setup → Funds
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Manage Funds.
The right-hand side of the page shows your balances:
| Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Funds Available | Your funds balance. It turns red when it's running low. |
| Email Credits | Your current marketing email credits |
| Tokens | Your current tokens |
| Last 3 Transactions | Your three most recent completed top-ups and conversions, with a View all transactions link |
The left-hand side has two sections, Add Funds and Convert Funds to Credits and Tokens. The Add Funds and Convert Funds links at the top jump to each one.
If your plan has unlimited sending, the Add Funds section says you have an unlimited email sending limit and can't add funds.
Add funds
- Open Setup → Funds.
- Under Add Funds, choose how to pay:
- Pick one of your saved cards under Select your Cards, or
- Click Add New Card and enter the Name on Card, Card Number, Expiration Date and Card CVV.
- Type the amount in the Add Funds field.
- Click Add Funds.
An invoice for the amount is created in your billing account and charged to your card straight away:
- A Processing Payment window appears. Keep the page open until it finishes.
- When the payment goes through, the window confirms the amount you added, and the page refreshes a few seconds later with your new balance under Funds Available.
A minimum amount applies to each top-up. If your amount is too low, the page tells you. A new card you enter here is saved to your billing account and becomes your default card.
If the payment fails
The window shows Payment Failed and a View invoice button. The top-up invoice stays open, and the Add Funds section then shows:
You already have a pending invoice #1234 waiting for the payment.
It has two buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| View Invoice | Opens your invoices in your billing account |
| Cancel Invoice | Cancels the pending top-up invoice in your billing account and removes it from Manage Funds |
You can't add funds again while a top-up invoice is pending. To try again with a different card, click Cancel Invoice, reload the page if it hasn't refreshed, then add funds again.
Convert funds into email credits
- Open Setup → Funds and go to Convert Funds to Credits and Tokens.
- Under Convert Funds to Credits, type an amount in the Funds field. The Credits field shows how many email credits you'll get at your plan's rate.
- Click Convert.
The credits are added straight away, and the page reloads to show your new Email Credits and Funds Available. You can't convert more than your Funds Available. If you try, the page tells you the most you can convert.
Converted email credits are added to the same balance your plan's allowance fills: your marketing email credits. Transactional email has its own allowance, which funds don't top up. To see your balance and how much you've used, open Plan & Usage.
Convert funds into tokens
- Open Setup → Funds and go to Convert Funds to Credits and Tokens.
- Under Convert Funds to tokens, type an amount in the Funds field. The Tokens field shows how many tokens you'll get, and Max shows your available funds.
- Click Convert.
Tokens are for Mumara AI. Your token balance is shown under Tokens on this page and on your Dashboard.
Conversions are instant and don't create an invoice. You can't turn email credits or tokens back into funds.
Funds History
Click View all transactions on the Manage Funds page to open Funds History. It lists every top-up and conversion:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Type | Add Funds for a top-up, Credit Purchased for a conversion into email credits, Token Purchased for a conversion into tokens |
| Invoice ID | The billing invoice for a top-up. Click it to open your invoices in your billing account. Conversions have no invoice. |
| Amount | The amount of funds added or converted |
| Status | Success, Pending or Failed |
| Date | When it happened |
Use Filter by Type to show one kind of transaction, and the search box to find a specific amount or invoice number. Back to Funds returns you to Manage Funds.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Warning: There is some issue with your account. | Your account isn't linked to a billing account yet. Follow the Contact Support link. |
| A pending invoice blocks new top-ups | Cancel it with Cancel Invoice, then add funds again. |
| Funds not available when converting | You entered more than your Funds Available. Enter a smaller amount or add funds first. |
