AI Tiers

Mumara AI offers three tiers designed for different needs and budgets. Each tier balances speed, quality, and cost differently, so you can choose the best option for every task.

When to Use Each Tier

Mumara AI Fast

The fastest and most affordable tier. Best for tasks where speed and cost matter more than perfection.

Ideal use cases:

  • Brainstorming email ideas and layouts
  • Generating subject line suggestions
  • Quick edits and small changes
  • Plain text emails
  • Rapid iteration — trying multiple approaches quickly
  • Simple single-section emails

Trade-offs: Output quality is good but may require more follow-up refinements for complex layouts. Multi-section emails may need additional iterations to get the design right.

The default and recommended tier for most users. It delivers strong quality at a reasonable cost and handles the majority of email creation tasks well.

Ideal use cases:

  • Newsletter templates
  • Promotional and marketing emails
  • Welcome series emails
  • Event invitations
  • Product update announcements
  • Most day-to-day email creation

Why it is the default: Mumara AI (Balanced) consistently produces well-structured, responsive HTML emails on the first attempt. It handles multi-section layouts, color themes, and design requests accurately without the premium cost of the Advanced tier.

Mumara AI Advanced

The highest-quality tier. Use it when the result needs to be exceptional on the first attempt or the layout is unusually complex.

Ideal use cases:

  • High-stakes campaigns (product launches, investor updates, annual reports)
  • Complex multi-section layouts with precise design requirements
  • Premium brand communications where quality is critical
  • Emails requiring sophisticated responsive behavior across many email clients
  • Situations where you want the best possible output with minimal iterations

Trade-offs: Takes longer to generate (5-15 seconds per response) and costs significantly more credits. For routine emails, the quality difference over the Balanced tier may not justify the additional cost.

Selecting a Tier

Use the tier selector dropdown in the top bar of the AI Builder chat panel to choose your tier before sending a message. You can change the tier between messages in the same conversation.

Cost-Saving Tips

Getting great results while managing your credit budget is straightforward with the right approach:

  1. Start with Fast for ideation — Use Mumara AI Fast to brainstorm and explore different layouts or styles. Once you have decided on a direction, switch to the Balanced or Advanced tier for the final version.

  2. Be specific in your first prompt — A detailed initial description often produces a usable email in one or two messages, regardless of tier. Vague prompts require more follow-up messages and spend more credits overall.

  3. Start new conversations for new emails — Rather than extending a very long conversation (which increases costs as the context grows), start a fresh conversation when you begin work on a different email.

  4. Use Balanced for most work — The Balanced tier handles 90% of email creation tasks effectively. Reserve Advanced for campaigns where the stakes justify the extra cost.

  5. Iterate on design, not complete rewrites — Instead of asking the AI to start over, request specific changes: "make the button green" costs far less than "create a completely new email."

Tier Availability

Your administrator controls which tiers are available in your installation. Tiers can be enabled or disabled in Settings --> AI Settings. If a tier is disabled, it will not appear in the AI Builder dropdown.

For administrators: See AI Settings (Admin) for information on enabling and disabling tiers.
