Timeline
The Timeline addon gives every contact a complete, time-ordered activity history — one place to see everything that has happened to a subscriber and everything they have done, from the moment they were added to your list through every email you sent and every open, click, and unsubscribe.
What it captures
Timeline records two kinds of activity against each contact:
- Lifecycle events — added to a list, contact details edited, moved between lists when lists are merged or split, and unsubscribed.
- Engagement events — broadcasts, triggers, and drip emails sent to the contact, email opens, link clicks, bounces, and spam complaints.
Each event is timestamped in the contact owner's timezone and shown newest-first, so the most recent activity is always at the top. See the full Event Types reference for what each one means.
Where you see it
The timeline lives inside the subscriber side panel. From any contact list (or the contacts view), open a subscriber to slide out their detail panel, then expand the Subscriber Timeline section. The history loads in pages — use Load More to walk further back in time.
Alongside the timeline, the same panel shows the subscriber's subscription information, status (active, unsubscribed, bounced, confirmed), and any custom field data you collect.
How it fits together
Timeline is a native Mumara add-on. Once enabled, it quietly records events as your contacts move through their lifecycle and engage with your emails — there is nothing to tag or instrument. You control whether it's on and how events are processed under Application Settings → Triggers; see Setup & Usage.
Next steps
- Setup & Usage — enable Timeline, choose a processing mode, and view a contact's timeline.
- Event Types — a reference for every event Timeline records.
