Timeline Changelog
Release notes for the Timeline addon — a complete, time-ordered view of every interaction and engagement recorded against a contact.
The addon follows a major.minor versioning scheme and updates through the in-app Addons updater (Addons → Timeline → Update). You can review what changed in any available update before installing it.

Timeline 2.1
Release Date: June 2026 Type: Reliability & Security Release Previous Version: 2.0
Timeline 2.1 fixes merge events not appearing on subscriber timelines, tightens access so a timeline can only be viewed by the subscriber's owner, and resolves several smaller display issues. Fresh installs now configure themselves sensibly out of the box. The update installs through the Addons updater with no manual steps.
Highlights
| Area | Summary |
|---|---|
| Merge events | Merging two contact lists now reliably records a merge event on every affected subscriber's timeline |
| Access control | A subscriber timeline can only be opened by the account that owns that subscriber |
| Load More | No longer fails on timelines containing an event without a recorded date |
| Subscriber panel | The side panel and avatar image load reliably after the application's storage-system update |
| Spam events | Spam-complaint events now display correctly |
| First-run setup | Installs enable Timeline and pick a sensible processing driver automatically |
Fixed
- Merge events now appear on the subscriber timeline. When two contact lists were merged, the merge could be recorded as nothing on the affected subscribers' timelines if background queue processing was enabled — leaving the merge invisible. Merge events are now captured reliably regardless of how background work is configured on your installation.
- Owner-only timeline access. A subscriber's timeline can now only be opened by the account that owns the subscriber, closing a gap where another account's subscriber timeline could be reached by changing the ID in the request.
- "Load More" no longer fails on timelines that contain an event without a recorded date.
- Subscriber side panel and avatar load reliably after the application's storage-system update.
- Spam-complaint events now display correctly in the timeline.
Enhancements
- Smarter first-run setup. Fresh installs now enable Timeline automatically and default the event-processing driver to match your application's queue setting — Real-time when no queue worker is configured, Laravel Queue otherwise. Both remain changeable under Application Settings → Triggers.
- Rebuilt timeline view for safer, faster, and more consistent rendering of every event type.
Breaking Changes
None. 2.1 is fully backward-compatible with 2.0 — no configuration changes and no manual steps.
